ABSTRACT: Join us for a look at what companies are doing in 2010 and beyond with respect to compensation (including sales compensation) and rewards. Get answers to questions such as: What is the outlook for compensation in 2010 and beyond? Are companies freezing pay? How can sales compensation drive sales performance for large and small companies alike? What measures are companies using in their compensation plans? Who are "Millennials" and what motivates them? Who is spending what on SPIFs and Rewards/Recognition programs?
LEARNER OBJECTIVES:This briefing is designed to be as relevant and applicable to HR and Compensation professionals as possible. Attendees will learn:

- Strategies for addressing the ever-growing population of "Millennial" workers
- Best practices for sales compensation and what pay mixes, incentive measures and mechanics work best for various sales roles
BIO: Dennis Spahr is a Vice President with Sibson Consulting and is based in Chicago. He is a frequent speaker at academic institutions and conferences including WorldatWork, Synygy’s Sales Performance Conference, Loyola University, The Ralph and Luci Schey Sales Centre at Ohio University, and the Healthcare Compensation Professionals Organization. Mr. Spahr’s consulting experience includes sales compensation design for clients across multiple industries, sales strategy and customer segmentation work, sales role and sales organization design work, and improving the overall sales effectiveness for clients in multiple industries including health insurance, high technology, software, telecommunications, financial services, and manufacturing.
Meetings are held at the Kirkwood Center for Continuing Education (7725 Kirkwood Blvd, Cedar Rapids). There is networking and registration from 7:30-8:00 and the meeting begins at 8:00AM. A light continental breakfast is provided. Anyone is welcome to attend the meetings, however, there is a $15 fee if you are not an existing EIHRA member.
